OUR SERVICES
FIREWOOD
We manage a mixed species hardwood plantation, planted 30 years ago. One of the main products that we make is firewood. Due to the influx in demand for alternative firewood (not Jarrah). Check out our price list for 2023 for more info.
BUSH POLES
As part of our plantation managment work we have a large supply of bush poles suitable for all sorts of building projects. Bush poles are round wooden posts commonly used for verandas, sheds and nature play areas. We have multiple types of poles including red stringybark, southern mahogany and Spotted gum. Due to spotted gums extremly high density it has a BAL-29 rating. Suitable for building in high fire risk areas. Price dependant on diameter. Contact us for a price list.
RESIDENTIAL TREE CARE
We love looking after trees. Getting paid to come and climb a tree is the best job in the world! Margaret river tree services is lucky to have passionate, experienced climbing arborists on the team. RETAINING HABBITAT
One of the great parts of our job is meeting the locals! We take pride in identifying and retaining animals homes. Managing trees around homes is important for your safety and finding ways to live with all of your furry/not so furry neighbours is a challenge. We work together with the customer to achieve their targets whilst retaining habitat. Its not an easy task for the customer or the workers but the extra care makes a huge difference to the network of animals around us.
MOBILE FIREWOOD SPLITTING
We have a great mobile firewood splitting set up. With a 34ton hydraulic splitter, 4x4 and tipper trailer we can come to your property and process your big wood. With a minimum of 1cubic metre plit per hour a full day of splitting adds up to a big pile of firewood which can save you money buying it in. The market value for firewood is only going up and currently $1cubic metre market value is $180-$220. We offer $85 per hour to come to your property and turn your logs into firewood.
RECENT WORK
An example of a great habbitat hollow in a Marri (Corymbia Calophylla) with a young Possom inside. This was from a recent job deadwooding/weight reducing large mature trees around a parkland area which has a lot people walking beneath the beautiful trees. This hollow, as well as others, were identified and left. We cut a section off the end of this hollow to reduce the hazard of falling from the tree. The possom was soon left alone to continue enjoying its ancient home.
RECENT WORK
The customer set us the task of reducing this large clump of lilly pilly with the time frame of one day. These trees are growing in old cow paddock with little competition from other trees and lawn irrigation giving them water all year round. The volume of tree cannot be seen in a picture.
